Case Study:

Translating Complex Science into Media Messaging

The Challenge

The Nature Conservancy team conducted extensive scientific research into where to site clean energy projects in the U.S. to reach net zero emissions and maximize benefits for climate, nature, and people. They enlisted Redwood’s help to create an executive summary of research results that translated complex science into actionable policy recommendations and informed key audiences about policy recommendations through earned media coverage.

The Solution

Our team attended scientific briefings and asked the right questions to help simplify the findings for a broader audience. Our final deliverable was a 32-page executive summary with specific policy recommendations. Redwood also planned and helped execute a media relations campaign to earn high-profile coverage of the report that reached target audiences.
